SP is my sanity!

OOOPS! This belongs under Why SP? thread

I'm not a hard core climber but SP inspired me to break my ankle a couple of weeks ago

Like some others, I catch SP on breaks at work and sometimes at home when I'm trying to regain my sanity from the shock waves of work

Oh and of course, more SP now that I have this big, plastic (picture, walk on glaciers) boot on my foot.

Hey Kathy!

If people can afford to wear "flip-flops" on Rainier, then YOU can afford to sit in front of the
computer and take a well-deserved break.

Right ???

As you continue your ASCENT on the "ladder of adventure," there will be certain things
happening that we have NO control over.

Now you have an adequate excuse to get wild on SP, right ???

Sorry about your misfortune, Kathy. I'm turning 60 in a couple weeks and figured I'd probably go climb a mountain or two. But, I've been hankering to climb one I've never signed the climber's log for because it's just a drive to the top. Figure I'll just hike up the road (about 7 miles RT). So, I don't expect to report any "bad breaks" after my mini-adventure, but I'll be extra careful. Heal up; my prayers are with you ... --mark d.

Thanks for the well wishes! I go for my first follow-up x-rays tomorrow; hopefully I will be staying in my boot and not forced into a cast.

I still would hike the same trail as I did that day, just not cling so precariously to the narrow trail edge as I did. It was a great trip! Just my crummy weak ankles again :( :( :(

Hey Pudding, sorry about that. Being a rafter I would think if you broke a ankle it would be falling out of boat and getting it caught in the rocks, the last place I would expect you to break anything is on the trail.

Get well and get to writing some material, plan some trips and rehab BABY! Good well Chica! I wish you fast healing.

Aaaaaaa, don't know why, but I feel a Neil Diamond song comin' on:

"Love on the rocks,

Ain't no surprise.

Pour me a drink,

And I'll tell you some lies.

Got nothin' to lose,

So you just sing the blues all the time."

Excuse me, but I have a date with some chocolate pudding !
