Northeast Ridge of Lone Pine Peak

Postby Romain » Wed Sep 30, 2009 5:19 pm

I just found out from Jeff Dozier that he did the first ascent of the Northeast Ridge of Lone Pine Peak, along with Gary Colliver, Roger Derryberry and Bill Peppin, topping out on New Year's Day 1967 or 1968. The interesting thing is that Secor lists the FA as 1982 and the FWA as 1994. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with him to set the record straight?

Contact his publisher, The Mountaineers Books, in Seattle.

I wonder what the final outcome was.

for such a classic, 1967 makes a lot more sense than 1982--you can suss out this ridge from McDonald's parking lot in Lone Pine!

I'm putting my $$$ on Colliver, et al
