Anyone with recent snow updates? Especially looking for some info on the Bishop/South Lake area. Current snow level? Consolidated? Etc.

Snow line is at around 10k-11k. After that, North facing stuff can be deep. Up to 5-6' drifts.

Should be consolidated by the time ya'll get up there.

It's dry at South Lake and patches on the trail above there. You'll be getting more continuous snow above 11K. If you stay on the trail you'll find it pretty easy going. People have been walking on it.

I can confirm the conditions per 10/25 are as described above. Patchy snow between 10 and 11k. Then continuous snow about 11k, which is mostly trampled down from people walking on it. Bishop Pass supposedly has deep snow, so we avoided it (no snowshoes) and branched off above Saddlerock Lake to Mt Goode. There were some faint tracks part of the way but the last register entry dated from end of September. Climbing up to the summit was somewhat slow and tedious with the snow but not too bad.

Haha! Well, we were lucky we woke up at all! I accidentally set my alarm for 8am instead of 5am?! Luckily we realized it at 5:20am and were still on the trail by 6:30am. We expected the snow to be a lot more consolidated, so when a lone camper told us the snow at Bishop Pass was really deep, we knew that trying Agassiz would put us back at the TH really late, so we changed course to Goode instead. Still an awesome day though!
