I'd like to purchase these things, got em used? I'm looking for the newer orange model.

Retail, I can't really find them below 230 a piece. Anybody know of a cheaper spot?

thanks dudes

I looked around for the better part of a month and scored a deal with EMS at about $230 with a $25 gear card or whatever they call it. That's about the best I've seen. Even Ebay most are going for right around $200, I'll pay a little extra to get brand new and know they haven't been abused.

good luck anyway. they're awesome. tried the out for the first time yesterday on an indoor wall with ice holdz.

check that. i meant the cobras. sorry.

There is a shop in truckee, ca with a pair of used ones (older style) in good shape selling for $300 as of a week or two ago, if you can handle not having the orange ones.

ok sweet sweet

I'll look into that truckee spot.

I will not pay retail, no freakin way. Being able to not pay retail is the reason they invented the internet.

Older model at alpenglowgear.com for $154 each -

There are definitely going to be more sales .. every year the retailers want to move stuff for the holidays. Even better are the sales after the holidays. Just be patient.

170$ for a pair on cascadeclimbers. Not sure if they are still for sale or not, worth checking out IMO.
