Climbing until what age

Age is nothing but a number on your drivers license.

I am 58 and Fred is 61 and from our viewpoint, old is more a mental thing.

I was privileged to have dinner with Fred Beckey a couple of weeks ago and was amazed that he's decently connected with cell phones and email. He lectured me that it's just a tool and he can't see any reason why you can't learn such tools at any age.

THERE IS A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH THE CAPS LOCK KEY THOUGH

Bob's 67 here on a run-out 5.9 face pitch on Calaveras Dome. I would like to be climbing run-out 5.9's at that age and am inspired to do so.

Bob Packard and John Vitz are both in their 70's and still going strong. I'm 69 and still going strong. Age only gets you if you start playing golf and riding a golf cart as your exercise. I put my thoughts down about ageing on this SP album:

Just keep moving, and avoid sugar and alcohol, both of which mess with your immune system.

Diet is a huge component of aging well. Possibly as important as exercise and avoiding injury.

But you know that saying about alcohol and tobacco taking years off your life?

Look at the years it takes off! The ones where you can't hear, can't see, can't bend over, can't.....

oh, never mind.
