Why did my photo load and save sideways?

Postby Roger » Wed Jan 06, 2010 10:24 pm

I uploaded this photo and it was positioned correctly though when it was completed saving it had saved it with the Dani Warrior sideways?

Any ideas

Roger, that depends on the program you watched it with before submission. Some programs realize that you held the camera vertically (it's in the EXIF information of the picture file) and correct for it (Photoshop does for instance). However the real orientation of the pic is still horizontally. SP does not evaluate the EXIF information and posts the picture as it is.

Just an attempt at an explanation, of course ...
