Pete, I belong to no organizations, and that's the truth. I did at one time, but I'm on my own now.

btw, if this is truly the B---, there have been words about you, nasty or not (?) when I was last with the AC peakers. I wouldn't want to mention them online, they would be potentially embarrassing. I would have some words for many of the AC peak section people, as I know rumors go around and some may be libelous. I know that I am an issue with the peakers, by what hate mail I have gotten (presumably a friendly chat, however inartful), and obviously there has been the issue of global warming. While the AC has it's fun presumably carpooling and conserving, those ops have been taken away from those of us up here. I guess it's not up for any discussion that driving to peak after peak emits poison and pollution, as it seems some LFs have no longer appeared in any mentions, bringing up that topic. But that wouldn't be allowed as a topic as we all know oil and coal doesn't make any money if they supported clean energy as the SC wishes. At least by their press!

Pete, I really don't care what people say about me, and that's the truth. I loved the Sierra with all my heart from 1991-2004 but when my daughter was born, it took a back seat. I still think the Sierra NV is the absolute most beautiful collection of mountains in the world, and I'll be back. What people say about me makes no difference to me. I did my best, I left no trace, they were truly the best years of my life. No matter what happens to me, I am truly rich to have been able to do what I did. I don't worry about what anyone says. God bless them!

Pete, you have a lot of nice photos. BUT, ANYTHING you put on the net is fair game. If you have a photo to protect, I would not put it on the net, just my two cents.

I long ago accepted that there would be theft of my pix, how can anyone post anything without it being stolen? But I first had to join SP to address word for word copying of my Peaks Guide, as my initial e-mails got the reply to take it up with the thief! Gratefully he did remove the stolen passages, and I have no idea how much more reflects from my own words on Northern Sierra peak directions (a copyrighted work, btw).

I see as far as I can tell, most people quote what others have said, not to copy nearly word for word, then without any reference to the author, claim due authority as the poster! Granted that some posters are weak minded and apparently incapable of original work or words, and that SP does not enforce any copyright or ownership to anything that makes it up here. My first deleted thread a few days ago attempted to address that, with an urging to honesty. Deletion.

Back to this original thread, I guess Bob doesn't like any such accusations from anyone, and I will consider this accordingly. My words aren't carefully written being that rip-off is supported, therefore the aspersions to not making any sense. No sense creating prize or award winning writing when others steal it, then accorded all credit for the info. But then that is the SP way, it would seem!

Fine for you, not for me. I still intend to eep in the Sierra, and when your kin grows up and leaves home, hopefully you can be able to eep even further. I've been peaking since 1968, or thereabouts, and it's a shame that no one locally will eep as we did in the 1970-80's, apparently forever more, by who's in charge and the way that they'll have it forever. I'd love it to see that other hikers, climbers, and skiers can do as I did, topping out on so many summits, so gloriously and safely. Once the SC was for that. If you feel that this obsesses me unduly, that's your two cents. Myself, I do not want slash and burn, clear cut, mining, ORVs, and other destructive practices to prevail. I want the JMT, PCT, the peaks, and all, unpolluted and pristine. That your children are more important, so goes it for you. I am reconsidering my membership in the SC, as for all practical purposes, that is not supported locally. I've been trying with all my time and effort to see a conservation/preservation base, that votes no on destruction and pollution, but I see this is a futile effort. Maybe I can get married and have kids, to be like you, no offense meant.

I'm going to move this thread to the Ethics, Spray, & Slander forum. Since it's climbing-related, that would be the appropriate place to malign the SC.

Again, if you (or anyone else for that matter) finds your original descriptions being plagiarized on SP, please send PM to the elves.

Amazing that this wasn't deleted completely as the two previous attempts to address that! While I presume not exact copying might not qualify that as plagiarism, you might then repost my previous threads on that. Who is making these attacks/threats/harassment? Can I see what has been posted if anything right before deletion? If elves are deleting my threads and posts, how good is it to address them? Is there a list of who's accountable for this?

I really was considering First Amendment rights enforcement if that was an issue, here. Or is there something that I don't know?

The First Amendment of the US Constitution does not apply to outside contributions to privately owned web forums. So, your posts actually do not count as "First Amendment Rights" because the Federal Government is not removing your "voice" but rather a private entity is. You are still allowed to voice your self, it's just that if a private web site decides not to host your voice, it is not that you have lost your voice, just the venue. You have no First Amendment right to a Venue.

You are still allowed to set up a soap box in your front yard and bitch all you want about the Sierra Club.

Your neighbors might call the cops because you are a nuisance, but they cannot make you change your "content" of your speech. That is because your First Amendment rights cannot trump someone's other right, like the Fourth Amendment.

And like others have said, get over your obsession. It's old.

Sounds like laws being made. So, I can't speak my mind at SP?

And that'd be Area 51 (?). Nothing to do with that.

btw, "obsession" seems to be more ridicule. How that got around, how many doctors in the house?

Hey Pete, you can speak your mind all you want but people don't want to hear it. They think you have a couple of screws loose.

I'm still trying to figure what exactly is your agenda for posting this thread. Are you trying to bring awareness to the fact that the MLC SC did some nasty things to you 30 years ago that you can't get over? Are you trying to get the Elves to take down some content on SP that belongs to you and have been used without your permission? Are you just bitching because the forecast for the next week is looking dismal? Are you trying to recruit members for the MLC SC?

No one or anybody I see forces anyone to read every post. If you don't want to hear about it, please do not read it! Three or four complaints do not suggest everybody ("people").

I'm out for a walk, more later.
