Been Nice....

Been nice...But it's time to move on.

It's getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too deep around here.

Far too much Self-Righteousness and Sanctimony for my liking.

Got better things to do and battles to fight & win......

Chief, don't do it. I sometimes disagree with your substance or your style, but you are far more valuable to this site than the people you are letting get to you are. Don't let them win.

Why is this in "Gear"?

Could it be that the "The Chief" is just another "tool"....

LOL, couldn't resist. :P

Since posting this, I have received far too many PMs asking that I stay for different reasons.

I will delay my final decision, think and continue to post...

PS: The reason I posted this thread here, I and others that add their opinions/advice are in fact "Tools". They can be used for what they are meant for, ignored or discarded at any time.

I haven't been here long enough to know who you are, but, did you take that first picture of the sail boat eclipsed by the sunset? It's very good and you should have entered it into the Petzl light photography contest.

Anyways, stay I guess

I'm kinda new here so I don't personally know about The Chief. Based on the picture on the first page I have to conclude he is a climbing store. I know these are tough economic times, I hope he doesn't fold.

I sure hope you don't leave Chief. All I know is I've never met anyone that offered to lead a complete stanger like me up a route like the West Buttress of Whitney. I don't know If I'll get a permit or go this summer but the offer was really generous. I think your experience helps everyone a lot. Do what makes you the happiest but I sure hope you stay!
