Mount St.Elias film

i dont know how many know about it but i just found the trailer. it looks rele good. It was released in cinemas November 09

has anyone climbed Mount St. Elias? There is no trip report on sp. :cry:

I tried to climb it from the beach last May. 24 days on the mountain (turned around at 12k due to avy conditions, waited a week @ 10,500 in poor weather, humbling experience).

i see you climbed in your ski boots too. they talked about that in the video. great report you should put it on sp. st.elias doesnt have a page yet

I saw it at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, and I have mixed feelings. While the photography is absolutely stunning and the camerawork spotless, I just didn't like the story, and most of the skiers, especially the two main characters, appeared as complete dicks, so much so that in the end I couldn't bring myself to care whether they would succeed or not.
But still, I'm glad I saw the movie, just because of the visuals.

Thanks for posting I watched on Netflix last night. what an intimidating and beautiful mountain. really well shot and enjoyable way to spend hour and a hlaf.
