Happy Anniversary - 9 years of SummitPost

by isostatic » Thu Mar 18, 2010 11:08 pm

It is now March 19 in Europe (CET), so it is time to celebrate the 9 years of SummitPost!

Aaron, with what has happened lately, I think the time is ripe for for part IV of the SummitPost story!

We should start planning a SP celebration for the 10th anniversary, plan a meet and greet on top of a peak!

Definitely Hotoven. That is a great idea!

What would be a good mountain to climb in March? My vote is for something in the Southwest!

I think we should meet somewhere with a central location, like Mount Sunflower.

I second that, but propose Hawkeye Point.

Sunflower would be perfect.

Climbers. Snake-like, back-biting climbers.

Photos, by climbers, from the SP Mount Sunflower page. Go give 'em a vote, climbers.

Camp Three Everest - Chinese side would work for me.

Sounds good, you guys can party at camp 3, I'll be taking in the view from the top! :D

But in reality, Maybe somewhere in the Rocky's. That's semi central? The most back country 14er if there's such a thing.

Aaron, with what has happened lately, I think the time is ripe for for part IV of the SummitPost story!

Surely you can be more creative than that, Aaron.

Write it, post it, and then immediately transfer admin privileges to a group of other members -- Chief and DMT would be one possibility but not the only one. Then move it to the front page.

I'm sure an elf has additional powers available if one wishes to be mischievous.
