I hope this airliner crash was just an accident and not a terrorist act.

Dreadful thing to have happened.

The film from the memorial event they were going to, (memorial to the Katyn massacre of Poles by Soviet forces in WW11), was heartbreaking. All those rows of empty seats at the front.

Polish SP Community: I gasped in shock when I read this news story. I read and re-read the headline several times hoping I had made a mistake in comprehension, hoping what I read wasn't true.

My deepest sympathy.

Poland has shown her strength many times before. (And if her legendary climbers, famous for suffering conditions that would make others whimper are any indications, the Polish are some tough sons-of-guns.) I'm sure her people will rise and overcome.

All my best,

Sarah

Thank you again for your comments. There were indeed some real heroes aboard the plane, such as this simple woman.

I'm afraid an investigation taken over by a former KGB officer is not likely to reveal the truth, is it?
