I thought all you needed to organize an expedition was the back of an envelope and a pen. :D

I think the best book ever written on the subject was the British "Lightweight Expeditions to the Great Ranges" written in the late 80s. It approached expedition climbing from similar point of view as going on a weekend trip with your partner to the Rockies or Sierra. A must read in my view.

You don't just pick up the phone, call Alpine Ascents, and write a check?

When I first read that title I thought it said "energize", instead of "organize". My response thought was cocaine.

Hahahaha.

asmrz, sounds interesting sir. I will definitely look into it! Thank you.

I just love the part where the "Mountaineer" comes in and starts climbing up the desk and walls.. haha.

+1 The fat American way!

(Personally, I will never hire a guide. If I can't climb it on my own, I should not be there.)
