In Guatemala is a really nice and hardcore challenge, to climb 3 big volcanoes adding more that 5000 mts/16404 ft gain

You can do this and go to the top of Mt. Whitney if you have the energy. That would be over 4500m gain and a LOT of distance!

A guy here hiked a local mountain 5 times in one day totaling 20,000 feet of gain over 40 miles :)

Plenty of ways to do it - just keep adding mountains to your hike or climb the same one over and over. Climbing all Three Sisters in Oregon would be about 5000m gain and around 25km distance, I think.

Here in the Northeastern US, the Pemi Loop, Presi Traverse, Devils Path, Great Range Traverse and several more are each about 3000 meters gain, but due to distance very few people try to do each more than once in a day.

When I was attending one of the cascade mountaineers meetings in Bend I heard someone talking about some dude doing all 3 sisters, broken top and bachelor in a 24 hour window
