Luna Peak, Picket Range

Postby StephenCloudGately » Mon Aug 09, 2010 8:05 pm

Looking for as much information on this peak as I can get. To my understanding the only established route up the peak is the South East Ridge. I've been inspired to try and establish a new route. The North West Ridge has sparked my interest. Some of the things I'm looking for are.....

Photo's of the NW Ridge!
Any photo's depicting good angles of the peak's geography would be appreciated.
Topographic map of the area
Do you know of anybody attempting the NW ridge or any other routes other then the SE?
Has anybody succeeded in a winter climb on any route?
If so, what are the conditions like for the approach and climb in winter climate?
Does the road to Rose Lake Resort remain open for the winter?
What are early spring conditions like for the Picket Range both concerning weather and snow.

That's all I can muster up for now but any and all information concerning the peak in general and more specifically it's North West ridge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. - Yes, I have looked over the Luna Peak page on the site.
