The ONLY POST on this thread that makes any lick of sense!
You frkn people just don't get it do ya!
It ain't your land.
If any of you have an incident as the one that the OP has referred to, there is a very simple solution.
Immediately Call 911, tell the operator that you are being threatened or intimidated/harassed by some unknown people in camo gear and have the SBC Sheriff come out and investigate the incident immediately. If you are in fact not doing anything illegally, than have the incident documented as such etc.
But to post crap as was ref'd in the OP, is just plain BS and tells me that there clearly is far more to this story than what was posted!
Your spoiled and self-proclaimed selfish sense of entitlement of wants and needs, mean absolutely nothing.
All the actions of the people out there that insist to do as you damn well please and in doing so violate the LO's (DWA) rights, have only done one thing, totally aggravated the issue. You have only pissed off the LO (DWA) to the point that you will never be able to work a deal with them for any kind of ACCESS.
Your selfish insistent trespassing desires have only made it that much more difficult for any future possible cohesion between the DWA and the rest of the public wishing to access this area.
But, by all means, continue with your selfish rants, attitude and total disregard for the LO's (DWA) rights/behavior to protect their property.
It is consistent with the times....Unfknbeliveable

DWA land *is* public land.

…AND it came to pass, in those days, that these vainglorious men braggeth of their childish endeavors and minor exploits in the public forums, while they repenteth not of the foul spoor which they deposited in those crystal waters!
…AND it came to pass, that certain red-bearded men, who liveth angrily in isolated desert shacks, came to SMOTE those vainglorious trespassers and spoor-depositors, who fouleth Snow Creek. The angry red-bearded men scattereth the Trespassers into the desert, and the Trespassers doth flee in terror, in the dark of the night.
…BUT unto these many idolators came a Prophet then, whose name was FIGHT ON.
…AND this prophet cometh to protect SNOW CREEK, and he cometh also to protect those vainglorious Trespassers, protect them from those angry red-bearded men, who dwelleth alone in their desert shacks, and who may act as Sodomites toward these foolish trespassers, perversely violating those trespassers in the dark of the night, in un-natural ways...
BUT it came to pass, that the prophet FIGHT ON was not heeded. He was as a voice crying in the wilderness, one man against a multitude of evil-doers! The Trespassers heedeth not his warnings; they heedeth not his good counsel, wherein FIGHT ON showeth them a righteous path that circumventeth the private property, which is called AREA 51.
FOR in those days, all that was under the Sun was of an evil nature; and it was said that wicked men did sleep with goats, and it was said, verily I say unto you, that wicked women did layeth even with donkeys, in their beds of straw!
THEN it cometh one night, that Salome, daughter of Heroditas and queen of the Public Forums, performed the Dance of the Seven Veils, while the SP Elves did gazeth upon her, and she did beguileth them with her several charms. And when the SP Elves did come to her silken chamber, they asketh: Salome, what may we give unto you? So that we may please you forever?
AND Salome sayeth: I am BORED, so bring me the head of that prophet…bring me the head of FIGHT ON, on thy silver platter! And so they killeth him, and they removeth the head of FIGHT ON; they banneth him and deleteth him, and they casteth his body into yon sulphorous Lake of Fire! Oh wicked men and pagan idolators, thou hast smote THE ONE TRUE PROTECTOR OF SNOW CREEK.
SO the Lord passed Judgement then: that Evil may reign upon that land, and the Trespassers are now scattered in the night, in an outer ring of darkness, where they withereth like grass, or they are violated like as sheep by some lonely shepherds, by those angry men who dwelleth alone in their desert shacks, beneath the dark shadows of Mt. San Jacinto...

By some definitions, 29 Palms Marine Base is "Public" land. That doesn't mean you can traipse across it free from harm. We've had this discussion before. A government entity may own the land, but that doesn't give you the all the privileges of ownership.

I didn't condone trespassing- I just pointed out that this *is* public land. (As is the marine base)

Sorry, but it isn't "Public Land"
