North Peak conditions

Postby Vertigo soul » Wed Aug 04, 2010 1:14 am

Just searching for any new info on North Peak and its N. couloir. I'm assuming ice hasn't formed completely and neve is mostly encountered, but any recent pics or description would be appreciated :)

I hiked in that area the last weekend and took a peek at the couloirs. To me it looked all snow. There were couple people below on the snow, not sure if they climbed. I did not notice any bergshrunds at all. I may go there over the next couple of weeks regardless of the conditions.

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated. Might have to wait a bit more for better ice conditions.

For those who are still interested, the right north couloir is fully in! The middle couloir looks slightly icey, though very dirty, and Left Couloir #1 still looks to be all neve.
