I was just up on Mission Ridge near Wenatchee, which isn't too far into the mountains but the vine maples and other small-brushy plants were in full color, the larch on the other hand were being hypocritical.
Some were fully plugged in and turned on wheareas other hadn't even started. I also noticed for the first time how big
the larch are around Clara Lake.
Klenke, Spider Gap is one of my favorite places in the range. It was also where, years ago, I took my first backpacking trip, and what really turned me on to hiking/climbing. Cool place. In fact my profile pic is at Larch Knob.
