I was used to look at this website before, on the Eastern Europe (or "yugo") pages, as I was living in Zagreb, and moving a lot around. I think we were even in contact, Eric, for some hike in Slovenia...
Anyway, after almost 7 years in the Balkans, I moved 2 months ago to Toulouse, so getting closer to the Pyrenees!!! I've been up there for the first time there last WE : Montcalm and pic de l'Estats, with a fantastic bivouac at the top of Montcalm.
I intend to continue discovering these moutains, still unknown for me. So I will try to look closer at this "pyrenean team discussion" and be more active on the forum!
A bientôt!

Welcome! :)

Gracias!
He olvidado mi espanol, pero espero que volvere rapido, despues de algunos meses en los pireneos! Es mas dificil escribir que hablar!
Well, let's switch to English, much easier for the moment, at least for the spelling!
I've been to Montcalm and Pic de l'Estats last WE, with a fantastic (but cold) bivouac at Montcalm, and to Pic de Cagire yesterday, being above a sea of clouds... These 1st hikes were really great. To be continued!
Lucky are the ones on holiday... working on the 2nd of August in empty offices is just depressing!

Hi everybody,

not exactly a mountainering-related question, but anyway:

Somebody tild me the French part of Cerdanya could be a nice place to make a winter-trip with the family for some snowboard and downhill skiing (mainly the kids), some nordic skiing and snow-shoe walking (mainly my wife) etc. Places like Les Angles etc...

Any thoughts or comments?
(answer can be In English, Spanish or catalan.. my French, Basque and Pre-Celtic Pyreenic are lousy, I'm afraid)

many thanks in advance!

No lo conozco mucho pero la zona del Puigmal tiene buena pinta... También podrías acercarte a Andorra en cualquier momento, lo digo por el esquí más que nada.

Hello,
I'd like to bring your attention to a project that would disfigure 2 sites in the upper Aure valley: the valley of Aiguillette and the valley of La Gela.
You can read about the project here (french):
http://www.montagne-pyrenees.info/2010/ ... -pyrenees/
And an idea of the beauty of these sites here :
http://www.summitpost.org/pico-de-barro ... ude/677156
Thank you for relaying to all kind of people that feels or is concerned.
An association of defense of these sites should be created soon.
Eric
