But seriously, technically only 900 ft of ascent (but in gnarly powder!) and then maybe another 200' in lead/TR ice climbing.

And what is the conversion factor for elevation gain on a bicycle? Tomorrow looks good to get out

It aint no 900 foot ascent from the PL at the Poole Plant to the Three Stooges Section of the Chouinard Ice Falls.... sorry amigo.

Done that walk in well over 150 times in the past 6 years and know it like the...

Best as I can tell from the topo. It only took 40 min of breaking trail in deep powder, so it can't be that much.

BTW the 2010 climbing stats thread has been taken away in an ambulance.

We'll have to see if the patient can be saved or if euthanasia will be a necessity.

i descended 30' along Clear Creek on 1-1-11 to the total of 40' vertical i accomplished repeatedly ice climbing....

....if i were given 10' vertical for every messy diaper i would beat any y'alls....

(i have marched my boys up the 1000' vertical behind my mom's place here in golden about four times or so...none of this sit around and watch TV BS when dad ain't working)

Damn, Charles you found my weak spot. Well I napped Saturday afternoon. Sunday afternoon I tried to drive home and got stuck in traffic which turned into a comical attempt to wring as much fun out of Kufstein as possible. Did you know the sewing machine was invented there?!?

On the slopes of Mt. Taylor, NM. 12-31-10. We toured and toodled around on the north side forests on 1-1-11. Not a big day by anyone's standards, but getting out in the bitter cold in a new place was a great way to start the new year! Bring on 2011!

Did over 20K' on my sled in one day at work yesterday hauling gates, fence and all kinds of other ski race materials. It is quite easy to rack up the numbers in alt gain doing so.

One day last season alone, I must of racked up an easy 100K' of alt gain hauling over 65 6' fences up the hill from the bottom to the top in the wee hours of the morning and then spending the rest of the day towing over 200 athletes to the start from the operating lift. Each tow was an 800' run.

Does this count, damn right it does. Especially since I have to physically do all the labor involved, which is a buttload, trust me, from 9K to 11k on a regular basis.

Lets see, probably have about 48'. My boulder wall is about 12' and I climbed 4 routes yesterday. I suppose I worked a few others so that number could be closer to 55-60.
