As most people probably know, Borders Books is closing many of their stores and selling off inventory. Yesterday I stopped by one of the Borders stores that is slated to be closed (Union Sq., San Francisco). I was pleasantly surprised to see they still had a pretty decent selection of mountaineering books (considering it's a general purpose bookstore) on their markdown shelf, on sale for 60% off. I got copies of Houston's "K2 Savage Mountain" and Gadd's "Ice and Mixed Climbing".
