Good news, Joe Simpson just released his long-form birth certificate!

Not sure how or why I have missed this post. Perhaps, I forget having previously replied? I'm not sure as I only have read the last page of this post. Joe Simpson is and was a glorified Aron Ralston. Sounds harsh, but arrogance will bring less sympathy. I would expect nothing less myself.

Silvo, only just read the opening thread, and I totally agree; something is odd. I have no idea for sure why I feel this way, but I do smell a rat!

As Romanian, let me tell you that you took the crease quickly major flaw of this people, from whom you seem to live every day: critique to say nothing and denigrate to pass the time. Is an attitude that hides some frustrations.

Well frankly Mr Troll, who cares? I guess from the safety of your sofa it would be hard to imagine what would push a man to such extremes.
It is the will to survive and not die alone. I can certainly believe this even though nobody who isn't in his shoes could grasp what it would have been like and what would have been going through this guys mind.
I for one totally admire Joe Simpson. I also admire Simon Yates. He totally did the right thing under the circumstances.
They have both gone on and done wonderful things in both their lives and I wish them both the very best.
I also wish you would do something a fraction of the good they have done...that way you may feel a little better about yourself so you wouldn't feel the need to be so critical.
