Not climbing related per se, but so true - came from my friend on Facebook this morning: "Summer, like LA, is better as a concept than a reality."

When working on anchor building with a guide, if it looked good he would say "I'd fall on that." (reminds me of "I'd hit that") Always thought it was funny so I adopted it.

Just did a pretty good climb. But after I thought I got to the summit........it wasn't. "I can't fuckin do this" were my exact words to myself. Was exhausted......Made it!! My new phrase is, "I cant' fuckin' do this....I did"

One of the best threads I've ever seen. Somebody said it starts up again every two years or so. Where are the old threads?

"I was scared seconding it."
From my partner when he seconded a particularly scary route in Symonds Yat, Wales just after I led it. I was shitting myself while leading, could've decked really badly. A couple months later someone fell to death on this route.

Me: (15 feet above the belay with no pro): "Watch me! Falling!"

Belayer (hanging from a manky belay): "OH NO YOU'RE NOT!"
