Sorry to beat up a dead horse, but WHY are so many folks leaving SP ???

Is it something in the water that these folks are drinking, or do the reasons go much deeper? Comments ???

We all know about knoback. There is another member who deleted his pages two days ago (for reasons I will not share publicly, though he certainly can) but is still here and has even posted. Who else?

Why pull all your pages though? What could happen that is so bad that you delete your pages? Why not leave them and ask for them to be adopted? After some time if no SPer adopts them and they are very good pages, what does it hurt to just leave them on SP? I'm sure that there could be some reasonable explainantions but it appears to me that those who pull their shit come across as whiney baby's. Not that my opnion means much but that's how I see it.

That's what I'm getting at, the meat of the matter. Is there a reasonable explanation for people leaving SP ???

Is it a Physiological issue, or just a hurt ego that they could repair if they wanted to ??? Something else, perhaps ...?

There could be good reasons for leaving, and good reasons for pulling your content...

but if any of those who left have one I would be surprised.

Excellent point. These folks will NOT suddenly reappear to explicitly explain WHY they left, and most certainly won't be expected to.

It's obvious to me that "having tough skin" is a necessity for posting in the Forum. I just hope my crazy pictures didn't have anything to do with people leaving,
and I apologize if that was the case.

Dude. I absolutely LOVE your crazy pictures. They're a source of inspiration to think outside the text box. Keep doing it.

Posting in public forums is like having an 100-person orgy in the dark. Just don't know who you're gonna "bump" into. Thick skin is almost mandatory.
14ers.com has some real A-Holes running around their forums. But you get used to it and move on.

People having been coming and going since SP was first launched in 2001. This is nothing new. People take things that total strangers say to them way too personally. You shouldn't let someone else's opinion bother you so much, especially a virtual stranger, but I guess if you can't stomoach some of the BS then it's best to move on. It's pretty easy to avoid conflict though. Either stay out of Off Route - or simply disengage from a thread that turns to shit.
