tent pegs: how many???

by philso » Sat Oct 22, 2011 9:54 am

hi,

i'm planning on climbing mt. winniethepooh in illinois. i have 120 tent pegs. would these be enough? if not, would 4 trekking poles, 4 pickets, 3 ice axes and a couple of ice tools be enough of a supplement for any conditions i might encounter. i want to be prepared, cause i hear those who aren't prepared for the unexpected are those who die.

thanks in advance, philso

that's another whole can of worms that i was gonna ask in another post, but since you ask, i've got a dozen 50m lengths of goldline for guying out the tent and the tent cover thingy, as well as a couple of cruise ship hawsers for mooring my tent if it gets windy. however, i'm undecided about the actual assault climb. i know that light is right, and mt. winniethepooh being over 400 feet high, i've secured a 500 foot spool of bootlace. still, i'm not sure sure if it's light enough or maybe too light. any thoughts? :?:
