Icy Peak

by Norman » Tue Nov 08, 2011 4:17 am

I put Icy Peak back up...kind of in a hurry, will add more later. I find an old Icy via Ruth on a Bing search that says its still on summitpost from Mountaingirl days, but can't actually find it from the summitpost site? Any way, it would be a good one to add since I did it from the Nooksack Cirque a few years ago, but most do it via Ruth. Any one has report from Ruth to Icy, please add. Or if there is a way to retrive http://www.summitpost.org/icy-peak-via-ruth-mtn/193496 to post please do it or tell me how. We need both routes. Thanks...and I don't plan on leaving summitpost...

I've done the Ruth-Icy traverse. I'll see if I can find some photos and put up a trip report.

Norman, would be nice if you posted a graph of your route. It's hard to make out from your description where Hell's gully is.

I have not done the Ruth to Icy traverse, so someone else needs to post the route. I did Icy from the Nooksack Cirque. It would be nice to get that route up. I've been up Ruth a couple of times... :?: don't know the way...

Shoot, I have no photos of the Ruth-Icy traverese. I can write a simple guide book type entry, but I hate to build more pages without photos.

I have pictures from the ruth-icy traverse. However I'm reluctant to share them as my last post under user:jspitzer was deleted for no reason. I still haven't received any response as to why this happen.

Thanks!

Were you the guy who posted about Mount Shuksan? If so, one of the elves accidentally deleted that member because they had a lot of spam on there hands and if you posted no pictures or pages, it makes sense. They apologized if it was you. Usually members are not randomly deleted like that.

SRI: Your deletion was apparently a mistake. I hope you are not too turned off by the rude welcome and decide to contribute. the Ruth-Icy traverse is a wonderful, truly moderate alpine tour with a great work to view ratio.
