Look at him go! This boy can really fly! He's not letting up at all!...

HOLY COW! I THINK HE"S GONNA MAKE IT!

Anyway, Weird Al attended my alma mater. One time when he was back on campus for a concert at the PAC, my wife and I catered for Al and his band. We served lots of vegan fare that night. My wife had a conversation with him about them both having the same long, dark, curly hair. We hung out back stage during the show, and then drove off through underground tunnels and other off-limits (to the general public) roadways...my wife in a truck, and me in a golf cart, or vice versa...a little hazy on some of the details. Fun times!

Warm and sunny still, at least through the weekend. Time to take a hike!

Winter? Well, heavy rain accumulation has still only happened twice this rain season, but I finally could see snow on some of the local peaks and ridges this afternoon (from around 3,000 feet up). Up above 4,000 feet on Mount Hamilton, temperatures were at or below freezing all day. February and March tend to be the months for snow here (accumulation is not rare in the Diablo Range above 1,000 feet elevation and often happens multiple times each winter or early spring above 2,500 feet).

I'll head to the local mountains sometime tomorrow, but its feeling like a good time for a trip to the famous desert to my east.

Came down from Tahoe this morning, pretty good storm was coming in and very cold. Snow level was about 2000 feet, Tahoe was at 22 degrees at 6:30 am

On one hand, the west still needs snow for water, and everything else, but on the other, with about 6 weeks left to the season, and myself being tired of it, I'm very ready for an early Spring.
