Man, that thing is ridiculously long! Did anybody get at least 3 mountains? (Taschachwand, Petersenspitze and Hintere Brochkogel). And adding in the Wildspitze Nordwand...I just can't imagine it.
Of course I'm old, fat and slow.
I'm trying to figure out if there is a better chance to complete it later in the spring (like early summer) when you are in boots instead of skis. You may climb the faces faster because you don't have any deep snow problems, and of course your packs and boots are lighter.
We started at 4:15 am, and finished the Petersenspitze at 1:00 pm. I think we wouldn't have been on the summit of Hintere Brochkogel until 4 pm, and by then the long ski out would have been...rather unenjoyable! Plus getting down takes time on that mountain (no way I'm skiing the North Ridge).
Anyway, share your thoughts, euro-lurkers!
