Can the trailhead (summer) for Notch Mountain be reached with two wheel (non- high clearance vehicle? Thanks slowbutsteady

Notch Mt in Colorado? Notch Mt in Utah? It would probably help to pick the appropriate regional forum. There are actually 2 Notches in Utah -- Notch Mt in the Uintas, and Notch Peak nearer NV (but often called Notch Mt.)

The eastern trailhead for Notch Peak in Utah is pretty rough for the last few miles. High clearance is more important than 4wd; I got there is an awd 2003 subaru outback with 7.3" clearance. I never bottomed out, but had to drive carefully.

It's also a bit warm -- Even though the elevation is reasonable, there is very little shade. I tented under the one juniper near the TH.

Yes. You should be able to reach the trailhead in a 2wd vehicle. For the most part, the road is well graded and flat. There MIGHT be the odd section or two that's rutted from the winter
but the road is very gentle. Just drive slowly and you'll reach the trailhead.
The main trail, Fall Creek is VERY PRETTY. In fact, it's one of my favourites in the Holy Cross Wilderness.
