Self-playing commercials

by Ben Beckerich » Sat Apr 21, 2012 10:40 pm

No bueno- not at all.

Few things in life are more aggravating than opening up a page during a lull in the middle of a business meeting and having your computer start screaming some obnoxious freaken commercial, totally interrupting someone in mid-sentence, making everyone look at you like you're a fuckin retard as you scramble to shut the stupid thing up. Or having it happen at 11:30 at night next to your sleeping wife. Or even just sitting at the kitchen table after lunch on a Saturday afternoon.... BLA BLA BLA DID YOU KNOW DOWNY FABRIC SOFTENER BLA BLA BLA

HUGE thumbs down. I'd rather see SILENT banner ads plastered all over the site than hear even ONE stupid ass self-playing commercial.

Can I get a witness?
where am i going... and why am i in this handbasket?

Image Agreed! I had this happen to me a few times which I was quite annoyed. I had to hit the mute button on my computer. If I remember correctly there was no way to mute it either. :? :x
