I thought I saw someone way out that way with some pink lycra and one of those spiky, mohawk-style ski hats....

Was that you? 8)

Only saw one person with skis in the bowl area, and he had just recovered his binding. He took one looooong turn across the middle-left side, one going back in the opposite direction, then took off his skis and boot glissaded the rest of the way to save his skis from rocks on the lower parts.

Glad to hear people are out enjoying the snow we've got!

Anyone know if the road to Manker Flats is completely free of snow and ice? (wondering what car to drive up there :) )

Also, what are the conditions on the trail up to the hut?

Thanks!!!

For anyone wondering, pretty much the whole mountain is melted out. Guess it only takes one week of April sun!

Not even hard ice near the last 100' to the summit? If that's the case, I can leave all the ballast at home.

Any more info? Then again, a storm is predicted to hit on Wed.

Anyone know what the situation is on the Momyer Trail? I was looking at possibly heading up towards San Bernardino East Peak around the 12th of May of so, but photos from just a couple of weeks ago look like quite a bit of snow dumped in that area.

Anyone been up there recently to know if it's melted out?

Just looking for some quick verification here....

Momyer was/is snow free.....
....all the way to the 10,000 foot ridge?
....or just the lower portion?

Trying for San Berdoo East and debating on whether to bring the crampons or not.

Thanks,

Gusto
