Re: Report Bugs Here

Postby TyeDyeTwins » Mon Aug 27, 2012 7:40 am

I just tried to post up a bunch of pictures from my adventure today. Of interest most of the pictures I tried to put up were "posted" but 1 out of every 3 could not make it on here. The screen would just be the usual summitpost toolbar (Areas and Ranges, Mountains and Rocks, Routes, Images, Articles, Trip Reports, Gear, Other, ect.....) and the quote at the bottom........no new picture anywhere. Checked my recent pictures, and nope, they did not make it.

Is this just me that is having this problem? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance for the help!

There appears to be no way to remove a GPX file. http://www.summitpost.org/ravine-wi3-m4/807446 had a JPEG file loaded in place of a .gpx. While there is a mechanism to load a new GPX file, there seems to be no way to remove an existing one. Unless I'm missing something. To which my wife might reply, "and the more likely scenario."

Currently there is no option for removing gpx files. I've wanted to remove one myself a while back. :? You should ask Matt about this.

What's up with links this morning? I can get to my user page but every link I click ends up with a banner but no content. I've tried routes, ranges, etc. and they all appear blank.

Thanks,

Bob

You know you've made a really great page when you are benefiting by looking at your own page before heading out on a hike!

Actually I print and pocket my own climbing beta all the time as well as see others with them on their person...that was all working fine prior....checking printing format is fairly critical regarding any resizing, etc.

I have not tested this myself, but Mattski says he has not been able to make new accounts.

The last new account at the bottom of the page is one he made yesterday, before the changes. A bit suspicious that no one new signed up since then.

When I log in and click on my profile, Fred's comes up, not mine. The link to the profile is clearly Fred's - it's not a cookie problem.

As I told Fred earlier, that's a problem on your end. I've tested logging into multiple accounts and it works just fine.

Actually, that makes it more likely to be a cookie problem. The "user" cookie that is stored saves the username and password hash. If that cookie isn't cleared out after Fred leaves the computer, then you'd see his account.

Did you try using a different browser? What browser are you using?

It may be possible that Fred has been visiting websites of questionable character and gotten some back cookies in return...
