Is one of these an imposter?
As far as I can see, there is no more Roberto63 on the site any more...

SICK as disgusting!

And I just noticed something, the so called new Roberto, the one that claimed to be Roberto that we know (Chaberton), deleted his message! I just looked at the first page of this thread and it's not there anymore...Probably to avoid the IP detection.

Again, this is SICK!

The impostor was deleted along with the post.

What the person did was pretty low, but it's not worth broadcasting your disgust or getting too revved up about it. There's little that can be done to prevent that kind of thing, and besides, trolls feed on negative attention. Don't give the person that satisfaction.

Yeah I guess you're right Bob. I was just talking to Eric, this kind of behaviour pisses me off. But I'll be pissed in secret now hehe...

Regardless of what was told or not said, I will always have the up most respect for Chaberton. He was one of the most engaging members and his high quality work will be dearly missed.

C'mon sensitive dudes who speak a bunch of languages; humor is a universal, cross cultural language.
If you don't get the joke, why sweat (worry about) the small stuff? There are few truly venomous people on SP and they don't tend to last long. Have a great weekend! Enjoy life and the mountains!

By the way Chaberton's photos of animals were a striking and unique addition of natural beauty to the site. He will be missed.

Isn't Roberto living in Italy ? For some reason, I think Chad might have an "alternative motive" for wanting to visit ITALY .......

My point exactly ! I'm wondering if Roberto's wife had something to do with him packing up his whitey tighties.

I really don't think she "approved" of him spending so (too?) much time on SP.

I too was disappointed when I found this out. :( I consider Chaberton's photos of wildlife to be considered some of the best on SP. In fact, some of them were some of the best wildlife shots I've seen. The bear shot was one of my favorites. :) Does anyone know the story of what happened? Perhaps it's private?

Chaberton left also? Damn! That is a shame. :(

About Borut, I know nothing. We were friends on FB, but his account no longer exists. I had an email exchange with Roberto, also to know the reasons for his departure from SP. Its answers - here's the first email - I realized that there is a deep wound, whose origin is to be found in some attitudes here on this page.

Ciao Mihai,
Roberto.

There are cultural differences that passion for the mountains can not fade. Or approach. Add to that a certain dose of superiority expressed towards other users outside of North America, combined with lower language proficiency of SP, and maybe we have the answer to a sad and painful question: why people leave, or, worse, why they erase their contributions? Why Lolli is not there anymore? Why HansW is so quiet? Where is Brian the british lover of Snowdon?
Respect for the other should not be limited to give a good note to his article and congratulate him because he is a good writer and talented photographer. Respect also means that we must be careful not to hurt the sensitivities with silly games not necessarily understood by everyone.

Although SP is in my favorite list, I no longer look the same attention as before. When a picture of the day or week like me, I put a link on my FB page. But that's all.
