....A report / heads up for climbers (scramblers?, baggers? haha) of the santa rosa mountains.....

I went up to the Coolidge Benchmark on Sunday just east of desert shores......attained the North Saddle at 600ft. only a mile from the 86 expressway and bam! 7 bighorn sheep right there.....4 big bucks, a young buck and 2 does. Peakbagger.com lists this as a 4/10 coolness rating but the bighorns deserve a 10 I think.

I've just completed a major update to the Shastina page, and wanted to thank Misha for giving me the chance to do it. Happy to have my first Cascade Peak.

I am especially pleased with the new geology section. Worth a read IMHO...

Just completed a major revamp of the Simmons Peak page. A nice peak in the Cathedral Range in Yosemite. Spectacular scenery en route and almost guaranteed solitude if you overnight it.

I just did a revamp of the page for Eagle Peak, near the Courtright Reservoir. My family has a cabin at the lake, so I am starting to tool around with some pages down in that neck of the woods.

I posted routes to two of Mount Shasta's waterfalls. These routes, particularly the Brewer Creek Trail connect to popular routes to the mountain's summit but both are good (Whitney Falls) to great (Brewer Creek) hikes on their own.
