If it were me and the email were ignored, but some other hiker or kid went up there and got killed, blinded, or otherwise injured... I'd wish I had been more aggressive about getting the authorities up there.

worse yet, this winter that thing could blow the testicles off some OB snowboarder, and some shyster lawyer could try and name you in a lawsuit...crazier things have happened

I found a rocket-looking thing up on Reynolds Peak recently. It was hollow so so I knew there was no danger of an explosion.

Email sucks for getting people's attention. Who knows which office at Snowbird even reads their default email address, but it's probably some intern in marketing. Call the main switchboard and ask to be connected to the patrol director (and explain why obviously).
