I've never emailed one of those request, but I am curious what the motivation is.

Does it spam you a million times once they get your email address?

Do they give you a sob story and ask you to send money? Credit card numbers?

Obviously I'm not going to find out, but was wondering if anyone knew what they are after.

On one like that, I think you get spammed. You could always create an email account just to find out.

What amazes me is that it must work on a lot of people or they wouldn't bother with these scams. I find it hard to believe that some people can be stupid enough to fall for it. Well, actually I don't.

You mean that beautiful bavarian serving wench didn't really want to talk with me.

Oh and both these new users have bussiness links in there profile for the same site. They may be legit users but the fact that they both link to the same site leads me to think not.

Excuse me! But Krissy and I have plans to go climbing already. She doesn't need to be deleted at all- she's looking forward to hitting the glaciers on Shasta this spring!

At first I thought you were serious then I saw you guys discussing autumn leaves and all. Next thing you know she is going to be sending pictures of herself as a bavarian serving wench to Mr. Benn

Krissy is a sneaky little vixen. I'll have to keep my eye on her.

This one just may be legit. I suspect a Ben Nevis trip report is forthcoming.

Plus I think they are lying about their address... Since when was there a state of Utah in the United Kingdom?

Highly amusing that "he" would post an ad under "bad submissions" - I laughed
