Anyone know if that snow is sticking around on San Jacinto? Contemplating Cactus to Clouds this weekend on either the 27th or 28th.

Thanks,

Gusto

Does anyone anticipate 120 opening anytime soon? I.e. is it closed temporarily until they plow it, or is it unplowed and closed for the season?

I'd be shocked if its closed for the season this early.

The last of the precipitation is forecast for today and its going to be much warmer for the next week or so- peaking in the low 70's in the Valley over the weekend.

The NPS lady at the Tioga entrance told me on Saturday that it would almost certainly be plowed. I believe it's more icy than it is covered in snow up there.

Great news, Deb. Don't know how much the parrots will like the snow, but living in Mammoth is heaven for outdoors folks.

Not going to get my hopes up, but it'd be nice if Baldy had enough by Monday to go up the bowl.

Just finished Donner Peak. 4-6 inches most of the trail with knee deep drifts. Still coming down now, Castle tomorrow and Tallac on Sunday.
