It’s a beauty >>>NEW and NEVER USED<<< and one that I purchased in 2000 as a “reserve” when my jacket/parka at that time was due to be “retired”….one of those could not resist moments. It has all the features an alpinist would want when I purchased it and is a quality product by Mt.Hardwear. Now that I’m dealing with multiple myeloma cancer I can see it will never be use by me.

Features

Waterproof, Very breathable 3-ply Gore-Tex(R) XCR fabric with taped seams and DWR finish
Attached, Adjustable Optimal Visibility Ergo Hood; Helmet-compatible with laminated visor
Adjustable, stretch Powder Skirt
Pit zips for additional ventilation & underarm gusset keeps the jacket in place when you lift your arms
One-handed hood and hem draw cords for quick adjustments
Napoleon Pockets right and left and two Chest pockets make access to essentials easy
Interior pockets right and left for gear OR water bottles
A six-piece sleeve (both the lining and the shell are articulated) provides unrestricted range of motion for tool swinging and pole planting
Velcro adjustable cuffs
Soft Polartec100™-lined chin guard eliminates zipper chafe
Velcro sealed Zippers (2 each Top and Bottom) with gutter sealed zipper shield
Lots of room to layer over layers (below pic layered over Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Jacket)
Size MEDIUM
Weight: 29.4oz/.83kg

New price I paid in 2000 was $425, I would be willing to sell this for:

The MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR ETHERAL FTX PARKA I paid in 2000 was $425 is comparable in quality an price to the following jackets below sold retail today:

Re: ***FS MT. HARDWEAR HARD SHELL***

After looking at the most recent copy of the BP Magazine I have changed the posting to the present terminology of HARD SHELL rather than PARKA. This is a great deal for anyone looking at HARD SHELLS.
