I'm interested. Like everyone else, depends on time and place.

Sorry. Been busy. Just got back from Utah and I'm leaving for Nepal next week and won't be back until January 4.

Anyway, how does January 19th or 26th sound?

Sherman has been suggested (I've already done it in winter, but I could do it again). If we did it from the Fourmile side, those who already have Sherman, but want a 13er could do Horseshoe or Sheridan.

Does this sound good?

I know some have suggested Elbert, and it is a safe one in winter, but it would be a really long climb for those that don't want to overnight it.

Sherman sounds good, especially from the Four Mile side.

Sherman/nearby 13ers sounds excellent.

Sherman and friends is fine with me as well. I've done it in winter as well, but I don't have a January "grid" slot :ugeek:

I vote for January 19th with the 26th as a "backup/weather day".

If we stretch this into a 2-day (optional) event, I can use the Sunday (20th or 27th) to take a few unwitting victims up, say, Hoosier Ridge | Red Peak | Red Mountain or North Twin Cone or something else along that Hwy 285 corridor between Kenosha Pass and Hwy 9.

Some people get the 21st off (not me), so it could even be stretched longer.

Anyway, a new thread will follow.

I'm not too keen on Sherman as an option but I'll try and be there. Weekends suck for hiking in the mountains.
It'll be great to meet up with some fellow SP'ers.
Thanks for taking the initiative on this Scott. Props to ya man!

My vote, for selfesh reasons is for the 27th. I get back from Japan the first week of Jan. and then we are in San Francisco the weekend of the 12th. Would be nice to be home a few days.

I'm OK with both dates, hope weather cooperates with this event as well. Mt. Sherman is fine with me, i guess it's more about SP people getting together!

The 19th works out best for me supposing I'm able to go. I would probably opt to do Horseshoe since I've done Sherman twice. I like having the choice of different mountians. Or it could be planned to do Sherman on one day and Horseshoe on the next.
I would not be able to camp that I do know.

I'd be in for the weekend of the 19th. I've done Sherman but not Horseshoe. But I'm open to anything. I'd like to get a couple of peaks in. Look forward to meeting some of the members here.
