Mark, I loved reading several of your latest TR on Supertopo. Keep climbing man...

I think we ALL should concentrate on climbing more, pushing ourselves more, doing better things, longer trips, harder moves.

What we should not collectivelly do, is to degenerate into the kind of crap slinging that can be read here.

Chad, what have you done lately? Write us TR, tell us where you have been, give us some inspiration for our next trip.

This California forum, at least in my opinion, is for climbers talking about climbing. And as someone once said,

"whether you right or wrong, you'll be gone before very long"

So, please, stop this now.

The CA forum seems more like a kindergarten playground brawl... Than a forum for climbers...

Let's hope for a good season on tahquitz this winter!

x15x15 shows up only when there is a good brawl in order. Would be great if you posted some climbing-related content sometime!

I like a good playground brawl, reminds me of my hot 6th grade teacher. Still, I hope for a good season on tahquitz this winter. Which is " climbing-related content."

I have not been there, but heard it is pretty hard. Would love to have someone talk about it or post pictures? Hoping to climb ice there at some point myself. Maybe this year, if it is good.

Anyone been in the palisade region recently? How's the approach? Rockfall still a problem?

I would think there would be more avalanche danger than rock fall danger in those couloirs now. Just a guess. I have not been up there recently.

If I was you, I would PM 'the Chief' every question regarding the Sierra you or your friends may have.

Thanks. Yea, we're contemplating a winter climb over the next two weeks with Sill and North Palisade being prime candidates. My partners have significant big mountain experience, having climbed Denali last year, but have more limited Sierra specific experience so trying to get some opinions before committing. Good call on the getting in touch with the chief. I'll do that.

Bump for Sping 13'.

Last mid May had ice the last 200' (U Notch). bergschrund had decent snow bridge. I suppose I could expect that this year as well. Anyone have recent condition report?

Does any one know of current conditions of U-Notch and V-Notch also will it be in shape in late July or will that be too late for this year?
Thanks in advance.

Climbed U Notch 2 weeks ago. Found it relatively pleasant for such a late start. Plenty of blue ice but we didn't bring gear. Snow/ice continuous to notch; snow bridge soft but held up. It may be suspect now.
