Baldy or San Jacinto

Looking at doing Baldy or San Jacinto in the next week or so. I have microspikes but not crampons. Any recommendations or conditions updates? Baldy Bowl versus the Backbone trail?

Microspikes was enough on San Jacinto yesterday. There was a little postholing to deal with where snow shoes could have been nice to have
