And this is Russia ... ie: what are you worried about?

Seems like the writer is a bit confused to where Khan Tengri is :)

Nice report anyway.

Anyone have any good reports about guides/operators from this neck of the woods? It just seems every report I read isn't exactly ... Positive. I prefer to use local guides/outfitters but as I said not many positive reports... I'd like to hear the good reports and recommendations....

Damien was over that way last year. He has posted some info on operators around the traps. I will see if I can rustle it up for you..us :)

7summits club seems to get a lot of good reports. Of course their prices did go up when the popular Dark Summit book came out and had a lot of positive remarks about them.

Based in Russia, they aren't perhaps genuine local, but more local than any western company.

It took a little while but was well worth it. The pictures are simply stunning.

Hey I might be in the Pamirs this summer.

Radson, You are interested in KT? We should talk. As of now, I have four friends interested in Pik Kommunizma. One of them is Russian and another Kurdish so we got the local connections.

I'm in Kathmandu now so the Pamirs will be a hop and skip away.

I was glued to it, the next page couldn't load quick enough!.. Not exactly what I had in mind though, starvation and pig fat!
