Eagle Caps 2013...how they lookin'?

by coocoochicken » Tue Jul 16, 2013 7:12 am

Hey All,

Hoping to grab a quick backpack up in the caps in a few days and wondering how the snow looks...if there is any. Also, any swarms of mosquitos that I could avoid?

Any thoughts or recent great trips?

Thanks!

A little off topic, but I have hiked into Matterhorn Peak over there. Trail starts off at Wallowa Lake, heads south and we followed it to Mirror Lake or some call Ice Lake. Fishing was good, mosquitos were tolerable and the summit gave awesome views.
