Summer ended today for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. We had a pretty good storm yesterday in Northern California, so maybe it's time to start digging out those snowshoes, skis, gaiters, poles, warm layers, etc.

Still drier than a popcorn fart here in the mountains around Los Angeles. We still have to get through wildfire season before flood season comes upon us, and there's always a possibility earthquake season could make an unexpected appearance.
Got a dusting from about sunset until midnight where I was. Not too much but went off and on for a good while and I wasn't totally prepared for it in my three season bivy. That thing may be going back... not really a good design.
It was melted off by noon. Looks like they brought the plows out in Yosemite... still plenty visible on Sunday night.
