Man, you have got to be the strongest damn person I know! I doubt any of the rest of us could have hung in there the way you have. You have definitely got one hell of a positive attitude! Needless to say, we're all pulling for you.

One thing I've learned Paulo, is never to bet against you. Don't get caught up by numbers, percentages, etc. Your toughness and attitude set you apart from 99% of everyone else.

Best wishes,

Woodie

Friends,

Recent fresh new update.
There's nothing more to be done. I'll finish the anti fungal drug in 3 days more, than I'll get home, for I don't know how long....
And when things go south, and they will, painfully, I'll get back to the hospital, put up in coma, and wait to pass.

Just finish the plan with my doctor.

Sorry if Some of you won't understand, and I know some won't, but there's just not any stronger chemo to fight back...

So long...
In time I'll answer some comments on my recent photos.

Sorry....

Peace. Cancer took down my Dad quickly when he was 90. He left the corporeal world without regrets. Know you have been loved, and appreciated. There is always a chance, but the best any of us can hope, is to have peace.

Parofes, I thank you deeply for sharing your struggle with us. I wish you all the best and, I pray, a full recovery. If you don't win this fight though, you be sure to go up ahead scout out the trail for the rest of us. We'll all be along to join you soon enough.

Parofes, I have always enjoyed your pages and photos. Thank you for your contributions to this site and the many people's lives that you have touched. I leave you with a quote from one of my favourite authors:

“Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you're there.

It doesn't matter what you do, he said, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that's like you after you take your hands away. The difference between the man who just cuts lawns and a real gardener is in the touching, he said. The lawn-cutter might just as well not have been there at all; the gardener will be there a lifetime.”

― Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

Know this Parofes, you are the gardener.

Parofes... Sorry to hear this. Go in peace. You've done well in this life and you've certainly left an impression. We'll all see you on the flip side brother... Much love.

Paulo, we are all sad beyond adequate words and all still hope you will pull through, but if you go, be at peace. You have touched a lot of lives in this one of yours and have been an inspiration to us all. I will always see you as a person full of life who smiled through the worst.

Parofes, whether or not you shall, as I fervently hope, be victorious in your great battle against the rebel cells of your body, of all the people I, at the age of 77, have seen in similar situations, you are certainly the bravest, and a great example to all of us.

I still cannot accept that the fight should be lost, though, and will continue to hope for some last minute change for the better. But whatever happens, you should know, as others have also said, that you have left your imprint on a great many people here at SP, including myself and my wife, with your magnificent photos and reports, and for this we will always be grateful.

Paulo, I wish you and your loved ones all the strength you need, and as long as possible I'll keep hoping for a miracle.
