The higher peaks in the Bighorns are getting some solid snow this weekend through Tues night......up to a foot above 12k.

Does anyone have conditions for the Wind Rivers? I was planning on going there next week.

Still mostly snow free. Might get a sciff this weekend but overall should miss a brunt of the moisture. It was the northern Absaroka's and Bighorns in WY that were getting the temp/moisture combos for the bigger snows. Where are you headed in the Winds?

I was thinking of climbing Squaretop Mountain with my 10 year old daughter.

Right on. Should be good to go. Might have a good chance at a grizzly sighting to boot....that drainage has seen a good increase in bear numbers over the last 5 years or so. Have fun!

There was at least 3 inches at the Lower Saddle (11,500') on Grand Teton two days ago (we bailed). Its been snowing ever since and it supposed to keep snowing. Hopefully the Winds aren't as snowy from these storms

It's been raining for 3 days here in Bozeman. The Bridger range has new snow above 8000'. It was 60 for a high today so the snow line was probably lower but I assume we did get a bit of melt. I can't see the higher peaks to the south because it's still cloudy but I'll bet they got dumped.

Looks white from the US 93 traffic cam. But a couple of days of August sunshine can change things in a hurry too.

It'll be fine by this weekend....supposed to get back into the mid 80's with sun. Should mostly melt but I'd double check with rangers just in case.
