Sorry that your dream climb had to be abandoned. Any chance of a trip report of your experience there with climbing and the earthquake?

What is the condition of Namche Bazar? Did many/any buildings collapse? Any casualties?
How about nearby villages such as Lukla, Tengboche, Feroche etc.etc.etc?

I heard the new quakes epicenter is closer to Namche. Namche has crawled up the side of that ridge in the last 30 years. I hope it is ok.

I have seen the havoc wreaked by natural disasters on TV and in photos before, but I can tell you that it is entirely something else to see it in person. I came to Nepal over a month ago to climb a mountain, and am leaving with images of total human misery and loss burned into my memory.

Despite the tragedy that is unfolding in Nepal, it is great to see some still staying positive even with the lose of their home:

Nanmche looks better than I thought it would ( saw pics today). With the way it is built on the hill I expected worse glad I'm not there anymore. Poor people of Nepal though!
