Lower 48 State Highpointing Speed Record Attempt

by Bark Eater » Tue Jun 30, 2015 7:16 pm

This ambitious couple are trying to set a new speed record for climbing all of the lower 48 state high points. They need to be under 23 days and change to do it. Currently climbing Whitney for #8 in about a week. Wow, lots of energy here! https://www.facebook.com/thegreat40eight

They summitted Guadalupe Peak for #10 overnight. They post a FB update for every peak. Fun to follow. Lots of energy!

We bumped into them on Kings Peak Monday. They now have the western high altitude mountains behind them.

PS - We found a hat on Boundary Peak on Thursday. Tell me what type of National Champions it is celebrating and I can send it to you.
