Hi - looking for a partner/group to do Avalanche Gulch with June 3/4 (dates are a bit flexible). Have two buddies lined up to go, but have a bad feeling they will flake. Fair amount of backpacking experience, but this will be first 14er.

Just go on a nice weekend and follow the majority of those who are on the way to the summit. Practice self-arrest before Red Banks, however.

@dgkirk If your dates really are a little flexible I was planning to climb Shasta over Memorial Day weekend (May 28-29) but my climbing partner has moved out of state. I know that there will be lots of other people climbing Avalanche Gulch this weekend, but it would be nice to climb together with someone. Let me know if you are interested. I have all my own gear and this will be my third time on Avalanche Gulch.
