Sport climbing in Yosemite

by b_betts » Wed Jul 30, 2014 7:15 pm

I have a friend coming to visit and wanted to take him on some 1 or 2 pitch sport climbs in Yosemite... anything up to 5.11 would be great.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Though there's a fair bit on the Chapel Wall, the sport routes are fairly scattered throughout the Valley. Some at Church Bowl, the Cookie, etc. I want to say that I've seen a guide to Valley sport climbs. Maybe call the Mt. Shop in Curry Village and see if they carry it. There are also some nice bolted climbs in Tuolumne too--Cottage Dome, etc. Some not as tightly bolted as your average sport crag, but certainly sane enough. You might get a better response posting this on mountainproject.com.

There's this book: http://www.supertopo.com/packs/yosemite ... ropes.html
We ended up climbing at Five & Dime which was pretty fun.

Thanks!
