Torres del Paine -- Photography

by sm176811 » Sat Oct 13, 2012 3:59 pm

Guys!

I am heading to Torres del Paine in November. What would be good places in the Park to take photographs? What are the good vantage points that I can drive/hike to?

Thanks in advance!

This is quite a broad question given the size of the park and that almost everything is worth taking a photo of. Perhaps you could be more specific about what you are interested in and how much time you have available? Alternatively perhaps point to some of the existing photos of the park and query where they were taken from.

Thanks Baarb.

Good questions! We will be there for only 3 days, and plan to hike to the Mirador at the base of the Torres on one of the days (preferably for sunrise), and then drive/hike to the Glacier on the last day before driving back to Puerto Natales.

Here are the list of images that I was interested in viewing/photographing and would be nice if you could guide me where to go.

2. All the three photos here - http://www.photosshow.com/tag/torres-del-paine/

Thanks.

It looks like Photo 1 in http://www.photosshow.com/tag/torres-del-paine/ is from the boat in Lago Grey towards the Glaciar walk, and Nr 2 & 3 near Refugio Pudeto.
The Photo in http://www.outdoorphotographer.com/blog ... raphy.html is from Salto Grande.
As Baarb said "almost everything is worth taking a photo of".
Have a nice stay and beware of the wind and rain
